Cubic Tech Hosts Learning Day at Porters International School

Cubic Technology Solutions spent a full day at Porters International School as part of our corporate responsibility programme. The visit introduced pupils to the basics of computing and the growing role of artificial intelligence in everyday work.

Our team met learners from different classes and held short sessions that explained how computers process information, how simple automation works, and how modern tools use data to make decisions. The children explored small demonstrations that showed how a machine can recognise patterns, respond to instructions, and support problem-solving.
Teachers and pupils took part in open discussions about future careers in technology and the skills young people may need as they advance through school. The aim of the outreach was to spark interest, give the learners a practical feel for technology, and help the school strengthen its digital learning activities.
Cubic Technology Solutions plans to continue these learning days with other schools across Ghana. The programme reflects our long-term goal of supporting young people and encouraging early exposure to technology.

Cubic Technology Solutions took an active role in this year’s Outdoor Innovation Summit, where our team set up a full demonstration stand to share some of our latest digital platforms with visitors. The booth drew steady attention from students, industry professionals, and technology enthusiasts who wanted a closer look at how Cubic approaches secure system design and real-world digital services.

Our engineers offered short presentations throughout the day, guiding guests through the features of our workflow platforms and data solutions. The relaxed outdoor setting created an opportunity for open conversation, and many visitors took the chance to ask practical questions about system performance, deployment, and support.

The event strengthened Cubic’s place in Ghana’s growing technology space. It also reflected our aim to remain visible and engaged in activities that bring innovators, young talent and development partners together.

Cubic Technology Solutions Launches “Smart Metro” — A Next-Generation Platform for District and Metropolitan Assemblies

Accra, Ghana — Cubic Technology Solutions has officially launched Smart Metro, a groundbreaking digital payments and receipt management platform designed to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of financial operations across Ghana’s district and metropolitan assemblies.

The new platform represents a major step in Cubic’s commitment to supporting public sector digital transformation and strengthening local governance through innovative technology. Smart Metro enables assemblies to manage all revenue streams — from permits, licenses, and property rates to market tolls and fines — within a single, unified, and secure ecosystem.

Smart Metro automates the entire process of collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring that assemblies have real-time visibility into their finances. It also reduces leakages by digitizing payments through multiple secure channels, including mobile money, bank cards, and online platforms, while automatically generating verified receipts for both citizens and assembly officers.

“Our goal with Smart Metro is simple — to empower local governments with the tools they need to build trust, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Madam Cynthia Nkechi Darku, Chief Commercial and International Relations Officer of Cubic Technology Solutions. “This platform is designed for the realities of Ghana’s assemblies, blending innovation with accountability to drive better service delivery and stronger local economies.”

Beyond payment management, Smart Metro integrates intelligent analytics and dashboard reporting that allow administrators and finance officers to track revenue performance, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions. The system can also interface seamlessly with existing government databases, ensuring smooth alignment with national digital governance objectives.

The launch of Smart Metro reflects Cubic’s growing influence in the GovTech and smart city ecosystem, providing practical digital tools that address the operational and financial challenges of public institutions.

With pilot deployments already underway in selected metropolitan and municipal assemblies, Smart Metro is poised to redefine how local governments manage and report public revenue, creating a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly public administration environment across Ghana.
